How We’re Making Mental Health Accessible
At Erie Psychiatry, many of our services are covered by commercial health insurance plans!
Within our community of Boulder and Weld county, it’s important for us to fill the gap between affordability and quality care. We believe patients should have options for both!
Not all services we provide are covered by insurance, but our fees will always remain transparent and upfront from the start. For details regarding your specific insurance coverage, please contact your insurance plan directly.

Erie Psychiatry prioritizes mental health by partnering with insurance providers for accessible, inclusive care, removing barriers to professional help. Offering comprehensive, supportive care to all in need, we strive to make quality mental health care accessible and convenient.

Insurance Plans We Accept
Just a few helpful tips to keep in mind…
Before your appointment, we recommend reaching out to your insurance company to get a clear understanding of your coverage. They can help you determine your copay, how much of your deductible has been met, and what specific services are covered.
It's important to note that while many of our services are covered, some may not be, such as late-cancellation and missed appointment fees, focused assessments, consultations, letter writing, form completion requests, and complex diagnostic evaluations.
If you have any questions regarding insurance coverage or would like to schedule an appointment, our friendly staff is here to assist you. Give us a call, and together we can embark on a journey towards improved mental health and overall well-being.
**We are NOT in-network with BCBS Exchange HMO Plans. We are in-network with a select few HMO plans, but not all. Please indicate what type of plan you are covered by, when prompted in your intake packet, and we will verify your insurance during your new patient registration process.
We are firm believers that if you have health insurance benefits, you should use them to their fullest potential.

Duration: 50 minutes | Fee: $350- Time Based
Our Diagnostic Approach
To ensure we provide the most personalized and effective care for individuals with ADHD, we follow a comprehensive and careful step-by-step approach:
1.) The Initial Psychiatric Evaluation
Your first visit with your provider is a thorough and comprehensive assessment of your overall mental and physical health. This foundational step is crucial for us to gain insight into your unique medical and psychiatric needs, enabling us to better understand the various factors that may be influencing your diagnostic picture.
2.) The Treatment Planning Appointment
After your initial evaluation, a follow-up session provides us with the opportunity to delve deeper into your specific concerns and discuss potential treatment pathways in detail, including a focused exploration of ADHD and its impact on your daily life.
3.) The ADHD Evaluation
Only after completing these two initial appointments can we schedule your specialized ADHD evaluation. This policy ensures that we have a full and complete understanding of your health background and current situation, allowing us to tailor our assessment and treatment plans accordingly for the best outcomes.
Time-Based Fee Structure
Our ADHD diagnostic evaluations are billed at a standard rate for a 50-minute session, providing transparent and straightforward pricing. This model ensures you receive a thorough, personalized assessment without any unexpected costs. For a full breakdown of our rates, please see our fee schedule.
Insurance and Payment
Please be aware that we do not bill insurance directly. Diagnostic evaluations are typically not covered by health insurance plans, as they are not considered billable services. Therefore, the full payment for the assessment will be your responsibility.
Appointment Confirmation
To confirm your appointment, we require a valid form of payment to be kept on file. Unless otherwise arranged, your payment method will be charged when our team schedules your diagnostic evaluation. Advance payment is necessary due to the significant preparation involved, including coordinating paperwork with you and your contacts (such as colleagues, parents, or teachers). This ensures a smooth and efficient process, allowing our staff to fully dedicate time and resources to your assessment.
Complex Medical & Psychiatric Individuals
For individuals with intricate medical histories or those who present with multiple diagnoses, additional time may be necessary for a comprehensive and thorough assessment. Any extra time required for this deeper analysis will be billed at our standard hourly rate, reflecting the complexity of your situation.
Important Payment Information
Health Savings Accounts & More
Health Savings Accounts & Flexible Savings Accounts
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) allow you to set aside money (before taxes). If you have an FSA/HSA card, feel free to use it as your payment method, or submit your session receipts to your FSA/HSA for reimbursement.
Sliding Scale Fee Structure
Our Sliding Fee Discount Program is designed to offer reduced rates for individuals and families facing financial challenges, ensuring that lack of insurance or insufficient coverage doesn't prevent anyone from receiving the care they need. We assess eligibility based on income and household size, aiming to make mental health services more accessible to all.
Wellness Stipends
Some companies have monthly stipends as part of employee wellbeing initiatives and you can dedicate those dollars to mental health (i.e. psychiatric care with us). Many individuals use these funds to pay for their sessions with us, prescriptions, labs, co-pays and therapy. Consult your company’s health & wellness benefits program to see if you’re eligible.
