Insurance & Fees

How We’re Making Mental Health Accessible

At Erie Psychiatry, many of our services are covered by commercial health insurance plans!

Within our community of Boulder and Weld county, it’s important for us to fill the gap between affordability and quality care. We believe patients should have options for both!

Not all services we provide are covered by insurance, but our fees will always remain transparent and upfront from the start. For details regarding your specific insurance coverage, please contact your insurance plan directly.

Erie Psychiatry prioritizes mental health by partnering with insurance providers for accessible, inclusive care, removing barriers to professional help. Offering comprehensive, supportive care to all in need, we strive to make quality mental health care accessible and convenient.

Insurance & Fees
Insurance Plans We Accept
Just a few helpful tips to keep in mind…
  • Before your appointment, we recommend reaching out to your insurance company to get a clear understanding of your coverage. They can help you determine your copay, how much of your deductible has been met, and what specific services are covered.

  • It's important to note that while many of our services are covered, some may not be, such as late-cancellation and missed appointment fees, focused assessments, consultations, letter writing, form completion requests, and complex diagnostic evaluations.

  • If you have any questions regarding insurance coverage or would like to schedule an appointment, our friendly staff is here to assist you. Give us a call, and together we can embark on a journey towards improved mental health and overall well-being.

  • **We are NOT in-network with BCBS Exchange HMO Plans. We are in-network with a select few HMO plans, but not all. Please indicate what type of plan you are covered by, when prompted in your intake packet, and we will verify your insurance during your new patient registration process.

“We are firm believers that if you have health insurance benefits, you should use them to their fullest potential.”

Payment & Fees for ADHD Diagnostic Evaluations
Our ADHD Assessment Path at Erie Psychiatry

To ensure we provide the most personalized and effective care for ADHD, we follow a careful step-by-step approach:

  1. Initial Psychiatric Evaluation: Your first visit with your provider is a comprehensive assessment of your overall mental health. This foundational step is crucial for us to understand your unique context and needs.

  2. Follow-Up Appointment: After your initial evaluation, a follow-up session allows us to delve deeper into your specific concerns and discuss potential treatment pathways, including the exploration of ADHD.

  • ADHD Evaluation: Only after these two initial appointments can we schedule your ADHD evaluation. This policy ensures we have a full understanding of your health and can tailor our assessment and treatment plans accordingly.

Understanding Assessment Fees at Erie Psychiatry

Our approach to your care is thorough and personalized, which extends to how we structure our assessment fees:

  • Time-Based Fee: The cost of the assessment is based on the time spent, rather than a flat rate. This ensures that our focus is always on providing the most comprehensive evaluation possible.

  • Complex Histories or Co-morbid Diagnoses: For individuals with intricate medical histories or multiple diagnoses, additional time may be necessary for a thorough assessment. Any extra time required will be billed at our standard hourly rate.

Important Payment Information
  • Insurance and Payment:

Diagnostic evaluations are directly billed to the patient and not covered by insurance. The full fee for the assessment is the patient's responsibility.

  • Appointment Confirmation:

To secure your scheduled appointment, payment is required in advance. This policy helps us maintain the high-quality and personalized care Erie Psychiatry is known for.

Health Savings Accounts & More

Health Savings Accounts & Flexible Savings Accounts

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) allow you to set aside money (before taxes). If you have an FSA/HSA card, feel free to use it as your payment method, or submit your session receipts to your FSA/HSA for reimbursement.

Wellness Stipends

Some companies have monthly stipends as part of employee wellbeing initiatives and you can dedicate those dollars to mental health (i.e. psychiatric care with us). Many individuals use these funds to pay for their sessions with us, prescriptions, labs, co-pays and therapy. Consult your company’s health & wellness benefits program to see if you’re eligible.
